Familiar road signs, speaking French, free data roaming and paying in Euro, hurray! The island is mostly visited by French people, but partly due to the effect that Instagram has on tourism, this is rapidly changing. For my second leg of my trip in Ile de la Réunion, I was looking for a hotel on the west side of the island. Most hotels are located in this part of the island, so it is the most vibrant area with a lot of stuff to do. I stayed in the brand new Ness by D-Ocean. Let’s discover how I liked my stay.

In June I went on holiday to La Réunion, and because I wanted to see the entire island, I needed a place to stay in the south of the island. This way, I could use that hotel as a starting point to explore the entire southern part of La Réunion! I found my paradise within paradise at Villa Delisle in Saint-Pierre, the largest town in the southern part of La Réunion. I must say I really enjoyed this intimate hotel with modern facilities and Creole interiors. Read along to find out why.
